This is sort of off-topic, but is anyone else very amused at the voice they gave for the French John Hodgman? (http://www.apple.com/fr/getamac/)

I'm sure that a 3rd party adaptor will appear to connect an iPod dock connector to whatever kind of connector the Zune ends up using...
Not legally ... Apple owns the patent to the iPod dock connector. Any commercial or retail use is strictly against Apple patents. Developers pay a small percentage to Apple for every product sold that uses the iPod dock connector. While it has been hacked and many home brew adapter guides have been on the internet, these items are also not for sale. So, I doubt we WILL see such an adapter.

I think this kid is great, I hope he puts up the good fight!
Even if he wins, all his profit will be absorbed by his lawyer. :(
All that hard work for nothing.

Its funny how all the macs are turned off and all the windows PCs are one :)
I think it's to hide how good OS X is. ;)
To be honest, this is a smart move from Microsoft. If there is one thing I cannot stand about Apple, it is the silly prices they charge. The Apple Tax is stupid.

He should give a big SCREW YOU to Apple and make a WinMo, Win7, Android and Pre apps.
Maybe with enough bad publicity Apple won't be such a dick to developers.

I'm guessing it's just a prototype of some sort. We know that Apple tests out many different variations of hardware.
I'm with others in thinking that it would be inconvenient to have a capacitive home button for when it is accidentally pressed. My guess is that Apple knows this and has somehow figured out a solution, if this is indeed the direction they are going.

So does this mean we would need an adapter for the 30pin connector to HDMI out?
Apple Digital AV Adapter - $39 (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC953ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MTcyMTgxNTk)
A second 30-pin connector built into the AV adapter lets you charge and sync your device while its connected to your HDMI-compatible display.

Instead of coming out with new applications, I would prefer that Adobe put more of an effort into developing an Intel-Mac version of PhotoShop just a bit sooner than Spring of 2007. I've been delaying buying a new Mac until the new CS3 is available. Doesn't make much sense to buy a new computer, when the application that you use the most runs better on the old one!

I found this interesting, apparently people can't buy an iphone online from AT&T delivered to NY. However, you can still get it at stores.
http://www.cnn.com/2009/TECH/12/28/iphone.sales.nyc/index.html
What do you guys think? Fraud? Just a glitch? Or desperate measure by AT&T to stop the congestion?
Umm - did you read any of this thread at all?

I don't think Pages is horrible. It's not great, but it isn't quite as bad for me as everyone else finds it. I don't use it all that much (Keynote gets used far more than Pages does).

You should also check out the Vyper XS (http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=97) sleeve from booq. I have the Vyper sleeve for my 15" PB, and it's great.

Imagine holding an iPad upright to watch a two hour movie.
That's why you can buy that case as an accessory, it holds the iPad upright.
While I don't think the iPad is a device for schools and serious stuff, it's awesome for when you want to watch a movie in an airplane or bus. In an airplane, you can't use your laptop since there isn't enough space to open it because of the seat in front of you, so the only way you could watch a movie on a plane is either by taking an iPhone/iPod Touch, or using a portable DVD player (yuck!). But if you want a bigger screen, you can get the iPad and it will fit in the 10cm space between your head and the seat in front of you perfectly.
Watching a movie on a laptop would drain the battery within 1 or 2 hours anyway, while on the iPad you can easily watch 3 movies and still have some battery left (if the 10 hour battery life is true).
